Imperial Pearls
Cultured Pearls are one of the most intriguing, stunning and beloved gems in the world and often misunderstood.
Deltah's history can be tracked back to 1892 when M.J. Karpeles established a firm specializing in pearl jewelry. It was known as Heller-Sperry in the 1950's, Pearls by Deltah in the 1960's and in 1971, Pearls by Deltah was purchased by its present owners, The Bazar Group, who owned the the Imperial Pearl Syndicate.
Through promotional efforts in the 40's and 50's with screen stars Olivia de Havilland, Elizabeth Taylor, Rita Hayworth, former first lady Nancy Regan, and television comedy queen Lucille Ball, Imperial-Deltah became and has remained a force in pearl jewelry.
On June 1, 1995, Imperial Pearl Syndicate and Pearls by Deltah were merged to form Imperial-Deltah, Inc. Today, it is one of the world's leading pearl companies.
